one other thing i noted from last year and from hockey...when you draft, the corresponding move (if necessary) must be made at the time of the pick. No waiting to decide who to drop 2-3 days later. People might want to pick whoever is cut in a corresponding move
Questions: should the FA pick selection not count until the drafted player is added to the Yahoo roster and if it's not done in the 12 hour or 6 hour window to make a pick, then the team is considered over clock and can be skipped?
Or do we give teams a grace period of 1 hour to add the player to the Yahoo roster after the FA pick is posted?
Does this same rule apply in the prospect draft where if you select a prospect that makes you go over your list of 15, should teams have to include who they're unprotecting to make space in their prospect pick post?

I believe when you make your selection, you need to post the corresponding roster related move. I am not in favour of waiting for a team to cut or make space.
I fully support putting a rule in around this to speed up the draft process.

When you make a trade and the player is in FA then you need to add within 48 hours after the trade is completed. For example, I trade for player A for $1. The other team drops him. I have to pick up the player within 48 hours. If I don't then the player is considered a FA. A few times in the past teams do not add the player to their roster.
As far as drafting in the FA Draft and Prospect Draft, the rule has always been that you have to open space immediately when you make the pick. FA draft and Prospect Draft. But we've been lenient on that. So I don't think it's necessary to put it up for a vote. I think everyone needs to understand that opening space for whoever you're drafting is part of making your pick and if you don't do it within the time limit, your pick won't count, you'll be skipped, and the next team in the draft can select the player that you posted that you picked. So if you don't have enough time to post your pick and figure out who you're cutting, better to just be skipped than show your cards on who you want to pick and risk the team below you picking that player.
As for the 48 hours to add a player that you've traded the rule, what do you guys want to do if the player isn't added in 48 hours? How ruthless should we be here? Are we saying that if a team doesn't add the player in 48 hours that the trade is voided and has to be posted again and process needs to start over? Or are you saying that if a team doesn't add the player they traded for that the team can lose them if not added in time?
And does anybody else want to propose a different time limit? 3 days? 4 days? 24 hours?
