Guardians 3.2 Pick
Guardians told me to post to skip him at 3.2 because he plans on using this pick to draft off his roster. He'll post his pick when he gets a chance
yes but is he going to have to cut someone who is currently protected to do so? What if someone might want to draft that person? I think this came up a few times in the past.
I don't think we've had a penalty or anything like that in the past for guys that go over the clock, that don't post their pick within the time limit. Jason is just saving everyone time
we haven't. Just saying we should be careful with it. I'm not drafting anyone he might drop or anything, just want to be mindful of these things so people can't take a pick and draft at the end. I am holding pick 4.12 for a reason lol
You have a point, but probably something to look at next February when we do rule change proposals. Over the years, we've had some guys go the whole 6 hours of the time limit, slowing the draft down, they get skipped. But we've never talked about any rule that says you can't go over the time limit. I see your point though. You don't have space and you wait until end of draft to post your pick before you unprotect someone, to try to keep them away from others. I just don't know how we would police that. Maybe the only thing we could do is force teams that go over the time limit to forfeit their pick if they go over the clock but that might be too severe. Because life stuff comes up sometimes where you can't post your pick. Emergencies or work stuff
