VOTE: Deadline to add traded player to roster
WIth our new message board, the voting is back guys!
It seems there's a consensus that we need to have a hard deadline on how much time goes by before you add a traded player to your Yahoo roster. And if you don't add the player to your team within the time limit, as ruthless as it is, the traded player would go to the FA pool. So vote for what deadline you think we should have.
Currently only half the league has participated in this vote. This is to decide a hard deadline on how long teams get to add traded players to their roster and if they're not added, the traded player goes to the FA pool with no waivers. We need 7 votes or a majority to pass. Currently we have 5 votes for 2 days and 1 vote for 3 days.
With 9 votes, we have a new league rule. Each team gets 48 hours to add any players you've traded for. If you don't get that done in the 48 hour window, you lose rights to those players and the players then go to FA without needing to clear waivers. So understand what this rule does guys and be very careful. Because you could trade for someone valuable and if the player goes unadded, someone can swoop in and sign him in FA and there's nothing anyone will be able to do about it.
i do believe that if we notice someone is not added in the 11th hour, that we should notify that team and remind them. I do understand it can be easy to forget if a trade was processed at a certain time. The point isn't to be ruthless but it's to make sure people don't go floating through the season with guys just sitting out there as free agents
