VOTE: Required to add player at the same time as draft pick
This vote is for whether or not we have a hard rule that in order for your draft selection to count and be official, you also have to open space at the same time. Meaning that if it's the prospect draft, your pick won't count unless you have an open spot on your list of 15. And if you don't, in the same post, you need to post who you're unprotecting. If it's the FA draft, the player you're selecting needs to be added to your Yahoo roster at the same time as the draft selection is made. If this is not done, the draft selection isn't official and the time limit clock keeps going. So what could happen is, you post your pick, but if you don't have the space for the draft selection, you could go over the clock, be skipped, and have the next team potential select the player you wanted. This needs 7 YES votes to pass. If this doesn't pass, then we could have another vote on whether there needs to be a hard deadline on how much time teams get to open space after their draft pick is made.
Only half the league has participated in this vote. This is to decide whether we require teams to have open space for their draft picks to be official. We need 7 YES votes to pass. Currently we have 5 YES votes and 1 NO vote.
With 9 votes in favor, teams will now be required to have open space for their draft pick to be official. So in other words, for the prospect draft, if you have a full list of 15 protected prospects and 2 NA players and 2 NIY players, then for your pick to be official, you need to post who you're unprotecting to open space. And in the FA Draft, your pick won't be official until the player is added to your Yahoo roster or you post the player is added to your preseason IL list. If this isn't done, your pick won't count and if you go over the time limit, the next team picking could literally select the same player and take him from you. So be careful during the draft to make sure you have space open. This stuff could potentially cause drama lol. And we've had peace for awhile
