Per Baseball Reference Cody Ponce exceeded rookie limits in the 2021 season.

Yes, but per our new rules that we voted for, we're not going off Baseball Reference anymore. It's 130 AB's or less. And for pitchers 50 innings pitched or less. Ponce has only pitched 9.2 innings so he's eligible to be protected.
