Anyone dissenting have a reason why other than just not wanting to be bothered? This is something that has worked really well in another league and guys like. It can make trades and strategy more creative. Also seems a lot of people have not chimed in yet.

No from me. 5 years means it’s a decision that should be carefully thought through. It’s worked fine in our league as long as I’ve been in.
How about a compromise?
Change franchises every four years, but you cannot protect anyone signed as an international FA or drafted that previous year.
So everyone is fair game in 2023 prospect draft, except anyone added in 2022 under those two rules.
and if someone is not drafted from that year in the prospect draft then they get free prospect changes to add them and don’t count against the three.

that just sounded even more confusing. I'm a no. I like that the prospect draft has some high level guys in it
I think based on the opposition to changing the 5 years, I think if you want to change the rule, best thing to do is keep things simple, and change from 5 years to 4 years. If you would support that Jason, we can put the 4 years up for a vote. But it would need 7 yes votes to pass
I‘d probably keep it at 5 then to avoid franchise hopping.
