As for the waiver claim, Chris has no authority over it, it was just what Yahoo would do once the claim went through.
It's not totally an extra roster spot for him since he can't use him right now or call him up without a prospect change.
I've thought about this alot with other guys that were signed prior to the season starting or drafted in 2022 but not yet in yahoo. Then what if they rise quickly through the system and show up in Yahoo in July and you used all your changes already...definitely considerations to keep prospect changes around
